To recap on one of my previous posts, browsing through the website of Al-Arabiya, two interesting stories intended to grasp readers' attention were posted. The first about a Kuwaiti court sentencing two women to prison on charges of 'raping' a man and the other about a group of 17 men consecutively raping a Philippino maid again in Kuwait. First of all this post, under no circumstances, is intended to be against Kuwait, a country that I will always love. Yet every case has its exceptions.

What are the motives behind doing such acts particularly in Middle Eastern countries. Alot of us look at the West being a source of corruption of morals and ethics and highly criticise aspects such as gay marriages and betrayal of marriages but why not look at our reality?

What fault did that Philippino maid do to deserve this terrible and horrendous fate? Imagine if that was your own wife, daughter or sister, how would you feel about it? Although my blog aims to be objective yet I chose nothing but to condemn this act as it disagrees not just with our real ethics as easterners but rather violates the basic laws of humanity and human dignity. A major question that is looking for an answer.
