It has been 40 days since authorities have held New TV's correspondant Firas Hatoum and News crew members Abed Khayyat and Mohammed Barbar on alledged charges of breaking into the appartment of Syrian soul witness on the assassination of the late Lebanese PM Rafic Hariri Mohammed Zuheir Siddique.
It is really a shame that free media, particularly from a new generation of young journalists, is being prosecuted for attempting to find the truth and pass it on to people. A good question that raises it self is WHEN ARE WE GOING TO JOIN HANDS WITH THE CIVILISED WORLD?
Without any political motivation or affiliation whatsoever, I demand that all those craving for a free media without censorship, go to the website of NEW TV Lebanon and sign the petition to the Lebanese government to free the three journalists.
